Is this Malevolent Creation? Well done recording, regardless.

I just read that Dave Culross has left Malevolent Creation. No reason was given. This sucks. Its funny to look at the scored this album got compared to The Will To Kill. The only difference is that Doomsday X got an extra .5 in the songwriting. Honestly, the production on Doomsday is kinda crappy compared to The Will to Kill. This new album is predictable and disapointed me, cause I had high expectations. I enjoy The Will to Kill and Warkult more than this new one.

I picked it up today since there was nothing else at the record store I didn't have. I think it pretty goddamn good.

I think this is a great review, short and sweet. Gotta agree with Stalker down there. I don't own any Malevolent Creation albums but they seem like the kind of band that if you're a fan you're gonna buy the album anyway so why whine about it? Sounds like if a long time fan of the band you'll like it so if you're not this review seems about enough to make me want to check them out.

Most original review of the year. Also stopped reading after #6, since I hate tests.

This review rules, what are you guys talkin about. I'd rather see this than see 8 thousand big words that could be shortened by 5-6 letters and mean the same damn thing.

My point is that this review is half assed, but the new behemoth and nile albums are given more attention to detail. MC has been around longer than those bands and deserves a little more than the minor details given above.

This is no bullshit metal that doesn't need to be over analyzed. The review was fun and it doesn't need to be any more informative than it is. If it was overly informative, then I am sure people would bitch about that too. Those of you who did not find this review amusing probably got up on the wrong side of the crib in the morning (no offense) If you don't know much about M.C. and you don't like this review, then listen to the album, gather up your own personal impressions and write a reader review..Different outlooks are appreciated by even the reviewers themselves.

No that was one hell of an original review! Very straight to the point...although I would have been more interested what flaws this release may have. There's got to be something that could've been better...this ain't "The Ten Commandments" ;)

Very original review; at least I've never seen that before. And I agree with the scores. This is a solid release from a solid band, that and nothing more.

re-write it? why? because it gave you everything you needed to know about the album in a succinct fashion? even if it weren't so informative, its Malevolent Creation and the man told you it was good - what more do you need?

I agree with "Nailed to Gold." In my opinion, they should either re-edit the current review or write a new one that explains the album more fully. (Hell, Staige even admitted it was "half-assed"...)

Wow, this review is really pointless and silly. How about a real review, where you point out why you gave it those scores. I really was expecting so much more from MC. The guitars seem a little too much in the background; the album actually reminds me of the production on The Fine Art of Murder. Not sure why people didnt care ofr Warkult; I enjoyed that album a lot. Doomsday X is a good album, but because I had such high expectations, I was a little disapointed. Deliver My Enemy is actually kinda boring to me. Culture of Doubt, on the other hand, kicks ass.

Great album with surprisingly melodic lead guitar work. Better than "Warkult" (which is a pretty damn good album itself) and most other recent death metal releases. Cool to see most of the original line-up back in action. Hail the return of the mighty MC!!!!!

Yes. Much, much better than Warkult. Then again, Warkult is their worst album.

Any MC fan should check this album out, especially if you were disappointed by Warkult (like I was). It rocks out the dead chippie...and I mean really rocks out.

I think you are on to something here- I like the format of the review (even if it is a bit of a joke) Makes for a quick and informative read without a bunch of showboat rhetoric. Nicely done.

Yeah, pretty informative, even if you're being lazy in a literary sense. And I occasionally enjoy the massively smartass deviation from the norm. "Nice" review.
